Pricewaterhouse
Coopers (PwC), the global accountancy firm, has appointed
Deepak Kapoor as the managing director of the company’s
India office.
Kapoor,
who succeeds Roopen Roy, has been appointed the managing
partner of the firm. Roy will continue to stay on as advisor.
Prior
to being promoted as the MD, Kapoor was the leader of the
transactions practice at PwC. He has been with PwC for the
last 28 years, and a partner for 15 years.
After
the reshuffle, the posts of chairman and chief executive
have fallen vacant and elections for them will be held in
April.
