Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC), the global accountancy firm, has appointed Deepak Kapoor as the managing director of the company’s India office.

Kapoor, who succeeds Roopen Roy, has been appointed the managing partner of the firm. Roy will continue to stay on as advisor.

Prior to being promoted as the MD, Kapoor was the leader of the transactions practice at PwC. He has been with PwC for the last 28 years, and a partner for 15 years.

After the reshuffle, the posts of chairman and chief executive have fallen vacant and elections for them will be held in April.
