Baazar Kolkata opens store in Malda

Baazar Kolkata, a Kolkata based apparel retailer, has opened its first showroom in Malda. The store, made with an investment of Rs 2 crore, is spread over an area of 6,750 square feet.

According to Rishav Goenka, retail head of Baazar Kolkata, tier II cities are very important for their brand because they are largely untapped and hold a lot of potential.

Talking about Baazar Kolkata's expansion plans Goenka said: "We are trying to penetrate more deep into East India for now. Within this financial year we will be coming up in one more town in West Bengal."

Baazar Kolkata has a strong presence in Eastern India with its stores in cities such as Kolkata, Agartala, Jamshedpur, Bhilai, Cuttack, Guwahati, Asansol etc.
